From a young age I have always had an interest in lorry driving and a career in the armed forces. From the age of 18 I worked in the security industry from door work to working in a CCTV control room alongside the police.
In 2018 I decided to leave the security industry and start driving as a career. I’ve worked in various different roles from delivering bread to palletised freight. Everyday is always different and a challenge.
In 2015 I joined the Army Reserve as an infantry soldier with 6th Battalion The Rifles. After completing my basic training I had the opportunity to specialise within the Battalion, this is where I decided to join the motor transport platoon. In May 2017 I travelled to Bulford where I completed a week long course and gained my Class 2 licence.
After passing my Class 2 test back in 2017, my next goal was to gain my Class 1 licence. I successfully passed two years later in May 2019 with Transplant Mastertrain. I was lucky enough to jump straight into the driving seat and gain experience trunking to a pallet hub in Birmingham.
